The Observer, Margaret Mair, original art

From this cave,
This hidden place
High on the cliffs,
The view is vast,
The seeing far.
The weather flows
Across the sky,
Clouds moving
In broken waves
Across a sun
That shines
Suddenly through
And around them.
Its light creates
Dark shadows,
Bright fiery sparks,
Sharp diamond glints
Upon the water,
And you watch
Their dance
As the essence
Of it all
Sinks into you
Absorbed through
Your bared skin
Into your naked soul.
Meantime the bird
Soaring on the edge
Of your watching
Sings its wild music
Into the wind
And watches you.
