TearDrops, M. Mair, Original art

TearDrops, Margaret Mair, original art

Dear Time
Please pause
In your measured dance;
Give us rest
From grief and sorrow
And peace
To fill the empty spaces;
Rock us gently
In your loving cradle
And catch our tears
In your rippled pool
Where memories hide
Below a darkened surface;
Let them emerge
And gently grow
More light-filled,
Polish them
With love’s glow
As again
You sweep us up
In the rhythms,
In the heartbeats,
In the drumbeats
Of life.

    • Grief does change, doesn’t it, if only we can hold on long enough? So happy you appreciate my words and thoughts, Sarah.

  3. Beautiful, lyrical, moving.

    • Thank you, Cynthia. And I’m sorry it took so long to reply – sometimes the hours seem to whirl hazily past!
