Moon Dance

Moon Dance, Margaret Mair

Detail, Moon Dance, Margaret Mair, original art

Let us dance
To the wildness
Of the cold silver moon
Gleaming high above us.
Let us dance
To the rhythm of her cycles,
To the movement of earth’s tides,
To the surge in our blood
As our moon-mother
Spins her magic circles
Around our earth-world.
Let us dance
To the arc of her waning,
Let us arch and reach
Towards her beauty
From the rise of a mountain,
In the dark of a morning sky,
Before daylight comes calling,
Before the sun
Flaming into view
Eclipses her
Fragile beautiful light.

  1. Margaret…
I love floating through your world of words.
Moon Dance is magical and somehow reminds me of autumn approaching.
(I must be anxious for a seasonal change.)

    • Seasons and cycles – it does feel as if the seasons are changing, doesn’t it? And thank you for floating; it makes me happy that you love it.

  2. Wow, Margaret. You have such talent.
