Enfolded.

Enfolded, Margaret Mair, original art

You come
In a time of sadness,
Feeling alone;
Crouching naked
To the world,
Eyes guarded,
Face hidden
From our light,
Seeking shelter
And finding it
In the heart
Of a mystic
Golden flower
Where, enfolded
In a softness of petals,
In a sunniness of color,
You are held hovering
Above the muddy waters
Your life has become.
Shelter there
Until you are ready
To show your face,
To share your own beauty,
To rise like that flower
Growing up
Toward the sun
Out of the murk below.
Be enfolded,
Be comforted,
Be blessed.
