Nature is Dancing to the East Wind’s Beat

The trees are dancing
To the beat of
An east wind
That drives clouds
Across a greying sky
And pushes waves
To beat a foamy rhythm
On the rocks at
The entrance to the bay.
Inside silvery crescents
Join the dance
Crossing a restless surface
In a complex choreography.
Of light and shadow.
The birds are dancing too,
Crying and wheeling
In arcing patterns overhead,
And in between
Boats rock in the gusty embrace.
The east wind sings
A stormy song
And nature dances
To its beat.
