Bridges
Arc and arch,
Travelling
From shore to shore,
Side to side,
Person to person,
Country to country,
Me to you.
Thin,
Wide,
Short,
High,

Long,
Straight,
Curved.
Connecting us with
Threads of cable,
Diamonds of steel,
Arches of stone,
Towers rising from
Water lapping
Round deep dug bases.
Spun over deep gorges,
Spanning sea straits,
Girding wide rivers,
Lifting us above
A Road Bridge, Photo by M. Mair

A ramble of roads below.
We cross them to
Meet and leave,
Come together,
And go away again.

  1. Engaging photos and endearing words.

    • Thank you, Linda. The lines of the bridges are what pulled me in and made me choose the photos I did – a link to the way I think when painting?
