Just for Fun, 3

Margaret Mair, Just for Fun, Original Sketch 4

Margaret Mair, Just for Fun, Original Sketch 4

I play with curves and shapes and shading – and she appears.

She’s a mysterious creature.

Peering out from behind – a curtain? A veil?

Watching us as we look at her. What does she think about what she sees?

Full of questions.

Full of mystery.

Full of fun?

Hope you’re having fun too!

  1. Maybe she’s hiding behind a wave. Reminds me of Yemaya, the Orisha god of water

    • Hiding behind a wave – there are lots of waves in my life, so it would make sense that, by shape or color, they should find their way through my fingers onto the page.

  2. Wood and wave, circle and curves, solid and flid with an all-observing eye.
So good to see colour flowing from your brush again.
